Marlton Dressage Leagues 2010

Home

League Points will be awarded on the following basis:
Due to the disproportionate numbers in Categories 1 & 2 it has been decided to award league points in 2010 on an adjusted percentage basis. A horse/rider combinations percentage is divided by 10 to get the league points and
Marlton Dressage Club members will be awarded one league point. The best placing achieved by a horse/rider combination on the day in the relevant grade will count for league points.
Example 1
MDC Member, competing in 2 Preliminary classes, gaining 65.7% in one class and 59.78% in the second. Their league points are 6.57 plus 1 bonus point, total 7.57 regardless of placing.
Example 2
Non-member of MDC
, competing in 2 Preliminary classes, gaining 65.7% in one class and 59.78% in the second. Their league points are 6.57, regardless of placing.

All shows will count towards league points with the exception of the Marlton Under 25s Festival. League points will be awarded on both days at the Summer and Autumn Festivals. Horse/rider combinations must attend a minimum of 5 shows plus the Autumn Festival to be eligible for league prizes; (Festivals are counted as “one show”). Note that no new names will be added to the league tables after 22nd May and horse/rider combinations not competing at the Autumn Festival will be deleted from the league tables.

Adult members may take part in the Preliminary, Novice, Elementary and Advanced leagues.

Junior members may compete in all classes. Results from Preliminary, Novice and Elementary will count towards the Junior League, results from Medium and above will count towards the Advanced league. Juniors riding at Elementary level and achieving consistently good placings will be placed in the Elementary league. All classes will count for league points except class 17.

New for 2010: League and Super League points will be published alongside the show results, making it easier for competitors to track their league points.

Leagues will be updated after every show with the updates published on our website and they will also be on display at every show. While we do our best to allocate points correctly human error can occur and we are asking competitors to check their league points and places on a regular basis. Cut-off point for any queries relating to shows prior to the Autumn Festival is Monday 30th August. Cut off point for any queries relating to the Autumn Festival is Sunday 5th September one hour before the prize giving.

Non- members of DI will not be awarded league points, nor will members on unregistered horses.

In the event of a tie for league places the following tie breakers will apply:
