Marlton Livery General Information
Use of Arenas
Indoor and outdoor arenas are available for use throughout the day. During normal hours you will be expected to share arenas with other riders, please read and observe the rules that are posted at the entrance to the arenas.
Full set of show jumps including fillers and safety cups available for use. Jumps may be left up in Arena 4 on a rota system that allows for weekly maintenance. Any wings, poles or blocks used in the Indoor, Arenas 1, 2 & 3 must be removed after use to allow for daily maintenance.
Arenas may be closed from time to time to facilitate competitions and/or clinics.
Lessons
Resident Dressage Trainer Daria Stepka is available to teach and/or school your horse. This service is not included in the livery price.
Visiting trainers are welcome at Marlton; there is no extra charge for having lessons. However it is not possible to book an arena for individual use; under exceptional circumstances an outdoor may be booked but the indoor is only available on a shared basis. All visiting instructors must have their own insurance, a copy of the policy must be lodged with Barbara before the first lesson.
Lungeing
Horses may only be lunged in the Outdoor arenas when no other horses are present unless it is by prior arrangement.
Lunging is not permitted in the Indoor Arena or in Arena 3.
Lights
Lights are provided at no extra charge. We have a 20X60m outdoor arena completly floodlight, including the walkway from the stables. At Marlton we endeavour to be as environmentally friendly as possible. Therfore we ask for lights to be turned off when not in use.
Hacking
Hacking on Marlton Farm involves no roadwork at all. Tobin's Farm can be reached via a short hack on a quiet back road. Bridle paths are provided around Marlton Farm and Tobin's Farm. We request that you adhere to the bridle paths and do not under any circumstances ride through the corn fields. All gates must be left as you found them. For your own safety we recommend that you carry a mobile phone when out hacking in the unlikely event that you may need to summon help. Unless your horse is used to mobiles phones please ensure it is set on Silent Mode!
Car Park
The car park is provided for your convenience. Horse boxes may be parked free of charge and must be parked in the box park provided. All vehicles including unhitched trailers are left there entirely at their owner's risk.
Opening Hours
The yard opens at 7 am and closes at 10 pm. Monday to Friday and most weekends. Some Sundays will be 8 a.m., this will be placed on the notice board in advance. Earlier opening to facilitate travel to shows can be arranged.
